Shares are securities issued by joint-stock companies. If you invest in the shares of a certain company, you become a co-owner of it. Even if you have invested very little, you get your share of the company.

- receive part of the property if the company is liquidated
- to participate in the life of the company by voting at meetings of shareholders.
